Check Drive Mode:
Ensure you have set your drive mode to Driver and not Supervising Rider (SR)/Rider mode. SR/Rider mode means you are riding as a passenger, which disables all the speeding alerts for your phone.
If your drive mode is set to Supervising Rider (SR)/Rider mode, change it to Driver by following these steps:
Open the app and navigate to Family.
Click on your profile pin from the Family Map or the bottom view.
The app will open the "ME" Live Screen. On the Top view below your name, click on "Switch"
The app will open the Drive Mode Screen. From there you can change your Drive mode.
- This setting will keep you in the mode you selected for all trips until you manually change it back.
Enable Speeding Alerts:
- Make sure Speeding Alerts are enabled by following these steps:
- Open the app and navigate to My Safety.
- Click on Speeding Alerts.
Ensure Proper Audio Setup:
- These speeding alerts are audio beeps that are played on the car speakers via Bluetooth/CarPlay or phone speakers. Ensure your phone is connected to the car speakers via Bluetooth or CarPlay for the best hands-free audio beep experience. If not connected, ensure the phone volume (speaker) is not too low.
Timing of Alerts:
- The beeps come a few seconds after you exceed the speed limits set under the app's Speeding Alerts Controls.
Check for Speeding Events:
- Do you see speeding events in your trip information? These events occur if you exceed the speed limit by 10 mph, unlike the beeps that occur after you cross the threshold you set.
