If you are not hearing Speeding Alerts in OtoZen, please check the following settings:
1. Check your Drive Mode
Speeding Alerts only work in Driver Mode. If your trip is in Rider Mode or Supervising Rider (SR) Mode, speeding alerts will not play because you are considered a passenger.
To switch to Driver Mode:
- Open the OtoZen app.
- On the Location screen, tap your profile pin from the map or bottom view.
- On the ME live screen, tap Switch below your name.
- Select Driver Mode on the Drive Mode screen.
Note: Your selected mode will stay active for all trips until you manually change it.
2. Make sure Speeding Alerts are enabled
- Open the OtoZen app.
- Go to My Safety.
- Tap Speeding Alerts.
- Make sure Audio Alert when over limit is turned on.
3. Check your audio setup
Speeding Alerts are played as audio beeps.
- If your phone is connected through Bluetooth or CarPlay, alerts will play through your car speakers.
- If your phone is not connected to your car, make sure your phone speaker volume is high enough.
4. Understand when alerts play
Speeding Alerts may not play instantly. The beep usually plays a few seconds after you cross the speed threshold set in your Speeding Alerts settings.
5. Check if speeding events are detected
You can check your trip summary to confirm whether speeding events were detected.
Note: Speeding Events and Speeding Alerts are different.
- Speeding Events are recorded in your trip summary and Drive Score.
- Speeding Alerts are real-time audio beeps based on your personal alert settings.
Following these steps should help you hear Speeding Alerts more consistently while driving.
