OtoZen uses your phone’s motion and GPS data to detect trips. Because of this, it may sometimes log trips even when you’re not driving, such as when you’re biking, cycling, on a train, or traveling in any other way—not just driving—it might still log a trip.

What should I do if a trip was logged incorrectly?

If you weren’t the driver, you can update the trip mode to Rider. This ensures your phone usage and drive score won’t be affected for that trip.

How to change the trip mode to Rider:

  1. Open the OtoZen app.

  2. Go to Drives and select “Me” at the top.

  3. Tap the trip that was logged while you were not driving.

  4. Tap the Driver/Rider icon in the top right corner.

  5. Select Rider to update the mode for just that trip.

Once updated, the trip will be excluded from driver score calculations and phone usage analysis.
