If the Live Activity isn’t showing up on your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island, here’s how to fix it:

✅ 1. Make sure your device supports it

  • Your iPhone must be running iOS 16.1 or later

  • Live Activities work best on iPhones with Dynamic Island, but are also visible on the Lock Screen for other models

✅ 2. Check permissions from the OtoZen app

Open the OtoZen app, then:

  • Go to Profile > Safety Checklist

  • Make sure all items in the Activity Checklist and OtoZen App Checklist are checked, especially:

    • Live Activities

    • Location Access

    • Precise Location

    • Motion & Fitness

You can tap directly into settings from here and toggle Live Activities and More Frequent Updates as shown in the screenshots.

✅ 3. Double-check system settings (alternative method)

You can also go to your iPhone's settings directly:

  • Settings > OtoZen

    • Enable Live Activities

    • Enable Notifications

  • Settings > Face ID & Passcode

    • Scroll down and ensure Live Activities is allowed under Lock Screen options

✅ 4. Live Activity only comes when your Connection/ Family Member starts a trip

Live Activity only appears when:

  • Your Family Member is actively on a trip

  • You are connected with them in OtoZen

  • The trip is not paused or ended

✅ 5. You haven’t set a destination or ETA yet

If you receive the Live Activity but only see basic info:

  • Tap “Where to?” and choose a location to get ETA tracking

  • Optionally, set a nearby alert for arrival notifications
