If you’re not receiving notifications from OtoZen, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot.
1. Check App Notification Permission
On iOS (iPhone):
Open Settings
Search OtoZen
Tap on OtoZen from the results
Tap Notifications
Make sure Allow Notifications is enabled
On Android:
Open Settings
- Search OtoZen
Tap on OtoZen from the results
Tap Notifications
Make sure Allow Notifications is enabled
2. Check OtoZen’s Do Not Disturb (DND) Settings
Within the app itself:
Open the OtoZen app
Navigate to the Family screen
Tap your profile pin (from the Family Map or the bottom view)
Select Do Not Disturb
Ensure both options are disabled:
Mute My Trip Notifications
Mute All Family Trip Notifications
3. Confirm Location Sharing from Your Connections
You’ll only receive Start, End, and Nearby trip notifications if your connections are sharing their location with you.
To check:
Open the OtoZen app and go to Family
Tap your connection’s profile pin
This will open their Live Screen
From here, verify that your connection has not:
Removed OtoZen’s location permission
Disabled location sharing with you
Hidden their location
4. Check Phone Sound and System DND
Make sure your phone’s ringer/media volume is turned up
If connected to CarPlay, Bluetooth, or speakers, check that the device’s volume is also turned up
Ensure your phone’s Do Not Disturb (DND) mode is turned off
