OtoZen uses your phone’s GPS data to measure and report your top speed during a trip. Instead of relying on a single GPS reading—which can sometimes show a brief spike or error—OtoZen calculates top speed using an average of multiple GPS samples.
Why we do this
Short GPS glitches (for example, a sudden jump to 110 mph when you were really driving around 70 mph) are filtered out.
Your top speed reflects a realistic driving pattern, not just a one-time error.
The result is a fairer and more accurate number in your trip summary.
Note: The top speed shown in the app may sometimes differ slightly from your car’s speedometer. This is normal since OtoZen uses GPS-based calculations while your car uses a built-in sensor.
