  • Phone is moved, lifted, or put down while unlocked, it is considered phone usage during driving, especially when the speed is above 20mph.
  • Unlocking the phone, even on a holder, for activities like texting or using apps when driving at least 20 mph.

• Not Counted as Phone Usage:
  

  • Engaging in hands-free calls or receiving calls, texts, or notifications without physically interacting with the device.
  • Utilizing CarPlay or Android Auto systems.
