OtoZen’s Driver Speeding Alerts are the gentle beeps you hear while you’re driving.
These alerts play only on your phone through your phone speaker or CarPlay/Bluetooth audio.
If you’re not hearing speeding alerts, check the points below:
1. Make sure you are in Driver Mode
Speeding alerts do not work in Rider Mode.
Switch to:
Shortcuts → Drive Mode → Driver
2. Check which alert type you set — Road speed limit or High speed limit
OtoZen now lets you choose two types of speeding alerts:
A. Road speed limit speeding alert
You will hear a beep when you exceed:
Road speed limit + your selected threshold
Example:
Road limit: 50 mph / 50 km/h
Your threshold: +5 mph / +5 km/h
The alert will play at 56 mph / 56 km/h
B. High-speed limit speeding alert
You will hear a beep when you exceed a specific speed you chose.
Example:
You set: 70 mph / 70 km/h
The Alert plays at 71 mph / 71 km/h
If your speed never crosses the threshold → no alert will play.
3. Choose a clear speeding alert tone
OtoZen now lets you choose from three different tones for Driver Speeding Alerts.
OtoZen lets you choose from three different speeding alert tones: Subtle soft, Moderate, and Strong loud. Choosing a different tone can make the alert easier to hear while driving.
4. Check your phone’s sound settings
You won’t hear the beep if:
- Phone volume is low
- Silent mode is ON
Bluetooth audio is connected, but the volume is low
